As early as 1917 it became a family business Lapuan Kankurit established in Finland. At the time it was a wool and felt boots factory. Four generations of weavers later, the company is managed by Esko Hjelt and his wife Jaana. Wool and textiles are still used; now with modern weaving techniques and top designers, but with the same responsible attitude towards people, traditions and nature.
Finnish wool blankets with patterns from nature.
On the wool blanket Kehrä you can see the pattern of tree needles from Finnish nature. You can use the blanket on both sides: beige / white or white / beige on the other side. Because of the soft colors, one of the sides always fits your sofa, easy chair or on your bed. The dimensions of this blanket are 130 x 180 cm.
Advantages of a wool blanket
- It is well known that a wool blanket keeps you nice and warm. In winter, put a blanket over your duvet. It does not feel heavy and provides extra warmth on a cold night.
- But you might not know that pure wool also keeps you cool in the summer. Wool ventilates and absorbs moisture, so your skin stays dry and cool in the summer. So feel free to wrap a woolen blanket around you on a warm day. In the evening on your terrace, for example.
- Wool blankets are also very easy to maintain. Let them air outside every now and then, that's enough. Wool has a self-cleaning effect, is resistant to bacteria and dirt. If the blanket has become very dirty, you can wash it on a hand wash at a maximum of 30 ° C.
